This gallery presents an ongoing studio practice shaped by decades of making, teaching, and returning to the work.
Casey Smith’s paintings did not emerge from a single period or style. Over time, the work has moved between public and private spaces, large-scale projects and quiet studies, commissioned pieces and personal exploration. Rather than following a linear progression, these paintings reflect a sustained commitment to craft, experimentation, and fundamentals—allowing different bodies of work to coexist as part of a larger whole.
The works are organized by subject and series, offering multiple entry points into a practice shaped by rhythm, observation, and long attention.
